Next up, is a complete wildcard meteor shower, that may or may not perform in 2019: the Alpha Monocerotids. This elusive shower hails from the rambling constellation of Monoceros the Unicorn, (or do you say Narwhal?) with a radiant near +0.4th magnitude Procyon, actually just across the border near Monoceros in the constellation Canis Minor (actually, the shower should be known as the Canis Minorids!).

 Past outbursts have happened in 1925, 1935, 1985 and 1995. Hourly rates have been as high as 1000/hour. The prediction is for maximum at 4:50 UT (11:50 EST, 10:50 CST, 9:50 MST and 8:50 PST) on the night of November 21/22, 2019.
