https://skyandtelescope.org/astronomy-news/bright-nova-flares-near-alpha-centauri/#google_vignetteFollowing the posting on the Central Bureau's Transient Object Confirmation Page regarding a possible nova in Cen (TOCP Designation: TCP PNV J14372177-5847400), we performed follow-up observations of this object using a 0.35-m f/3.0 reflector telescope equipped with a CMOS camera, located in Australia, near Moorook, and operated by 𝐒𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐄𝐅𝐋𝐔𝐗 company (MPC Code Q22). In images taken on September 22.55, 2025, we confirm the presence of an optical counterpart with an unfiltered CMOS magnitude of approximately +𝟓.𝟖, at coordinates R.A. = 14 37 21.71, Decl. = -58 47 43.6 (equinox 2000.0; astrometry based on Gaia DR2 catalogue reference stars).
