Seestar Companion 1.0.2 is now available
After a short pause, I’m back with a new release of Seestar Companion — a desktop app designed for ZWO Seestar S30, S30 Pro and S50 users.
Seestar Companion does not process images and does not replace PixInsight, Siril or DSS.
Its purpose is different: it helps you understand how good your Seestar session really was, why, and how it compares to other nights.
What it does
• Reads Seestar session folders directly (no special exports)
• Gives each session a quality score with a clear, human explanation
• Takes into account integration time, target altitude, Moon impact and consistency
• Lets you compare multiple nights on the same target
• Exports clean PNG / social-ready summaries
New in version 1.0.2
• Frame Quality Analysis (Good / Borderline / Not good)
• Non-destructive workflow (original frames are never deleted)
• Optional safe copy of analyzed frames into dedicated folders
• UI refinements and clarity improvements
The software is offline-first, multilingual, and actively developed based on community feedback.
A macOS version is planned.
