MPEC W30 announces the discovery of this object, discovered by NEOWISE and traveling in a distinctly cometary orbit (T_J = 2.7). On December 17 it passes only 0.01 AU from Earth (coincidentally, the same time that (3200) Phaethon is making its closest approach to Earth), and it might be worth keeping an eye on it in case it starts to exhibit any cometary activity. Southern hemisphere observers are favored, indeed it spends a couple of days in southern circumpolar skies right after its closest approach.
