http://tamweb.tam.gov.tw/v3/mobile/content.asp?mtype=c1&idx=1148 (http://tamweb.tam.gov.tw/v3/tw/item_img/2016_4th/201610220400-orionids.jpg) 獵戶座流星雨（Orionids，008 ORI）是每年固定發生的中小型流星雨，和5月的寶瓶座Eta流星雨一樣，同為著名的哈雷彗星(1P/Halley) 遺留在軌道上的物質形成的流星雨。這兩群流星雨在2008～2010期間為因木星重力與彗星軌道共振所引起的12年週期性的峰期，流星數量為平常年的2～3倍以上，不過目前已經回歸平常狀態，而且2014-2016年是這12年週期中的低谷所在。 這群流星雨活動日期一般介在10/2~11/7之間，今年預計極大期落在10/21，估計ZHR約為15。這群流星速度偏快（每秒66公里）；事實上獵戶座流星雨是每年的流星群中流星速度最快的流星雨之一。而這群流星平均亮度中等，約2等，偶會出現火流星；有時火流星會留下持續數分鐘之久的餘痕，餘痕受到高空風切的影響，會逐漸改變形狀並逐漸消散，這也是值得欣賞的其中一個特點。在此時節，獵戶座約在晚上22-23時從東方升起，至天亮前皆可見。但今年極大期逢月齡20-21的虧凸月，幾乎和輻射點同升落，觀測條件不佳，只能在月光中撿漏 https://www.saydigi.com/2016/10/orionids.html |
