US10 has been the big news lately, but I just estimated PANSTARRS this evening, and even with the bright gibbous moon nearby, I was surprised to see it at mag 9.0 with 4' coma in 20x60B. This is well above the expected light curve and the recent observations as well.

又是一顆讓老貓紅眼的下半夜彗星。不過用小望遠鏡在都市觀測它並不簡單……

最近（2月中旬）觀測報告的彗星亮度在8.5等左右，預期在4月20日通過近日點（1.31AU），之後到6月底至7月初最接近地球時達到最亮約5~6等。


這顆彗星2月下旬至3月下旬都位在雙魚座中，亮度持續增加。其中2月下旬可見於傍晚日落後的西方低空，但仰角很低，不易觀察，甚至在2月底至3月初時，迅及隱沒於太陽光輝中而不可見，直到3月底至4月初才重新出現在清晨日出前的東方天空中。
 
　　而後因愈來愈接近地球，使得彗星在天空中移動速度加快。4月初至6月初，這顆彗星由雙魚座經寶瓶座向南前進；6月上旬，由寶瓶座進入南魚座；6月中旬，由南魚座經顯微鏡座移動至人馬座後腿至印第安座之間；6月下旬最接近地球之時，移動速度最快，由人馬至印第安座之間，快速地通過望遠鏡座與天壇座。在此期間，亮度還是持續增加，預估4月初彗星亮度應在7等左右，於6月底時達到最亮的5~6等左右；此外，彗星升起的時間也愈來愈早。對臺灣地區而言，最佳觀測時機應在5月下旬至6月中這段時間，彗星約在午夜之前升起，到清晨3:40左右的天文曙光時分，仰角高度還有30度以上，彗星亮度則在6等左右，在光害不嚴重的地方，用小型望遠鏡或雙筒望遠鏡就可以清楚的看到這顆彗星。
 
　　在6月底至7月初的這幾天，彗星由位在天蝎尾部附近的天壇座進入矩尺座，雖然彗星最亮時期，可是因為彗星位置太偏南，對臺灣地區而言，傍晚升起至清晨落入地平面，幾乎都是貼著地平面，臺灣地區的觀察條件不佳；若是有到南半球旅行者，倒是觀察條件會比臺灣好一些。
 
　　7月上旬之後，彗星亮度開始降低，位置則由矩尺開始北轉，經豺狼座到半人馬座，8月中旬進入長蛇座尾部，之後到2017年4月初的這段期間，彗星都在半人馬座和長蛇座尾部的這一塊天區徘徊。其中，在10月初以前，都可在傍晚入夜後的西南方低空見到這顆彗星；10月初至11月底時，因彗星與太陽同方向，出沒時間都在白晝而無法觀察；12月初之後再度出現在清晨日出前的東南方天空中。然而，在6月底最接近地球而達到最大亮度之後，彗星亮度降低得非常快，預估8月初的亮度就已經減至8.5等左右，8月底落至10等以下，9月底接近12等，之後已不適合業餘觀賞。

252p  沒比較亮嗎 ?


於臺北時間4/21以1.31AU的距離通過它的軌道近日點，預估這顆彗星的亮度約在6-7等左右，並持續增亮中。不過對臺灣地區而言，位置還太南邊，僅能在天亮前的東南方低空勉強觀察這顆彗星，受晨曦影響，觀察條件稍差。5月之後彗星升起時間提早，天亮前仰角增高，觀察條件會比較好，但仍建議利用雙筒望遠鏡或天文望遠鏡協助觀察。

他只是說可能而已  不能確定
彗星的亮度真的很難預估的

不過我也覺得應該是252P 稍亮一些
