Officina Stellare 500 f3.8 RiLA 攝星鏡在意大利研製中，今秋付運，將會成為我的西藏天文台旗艦鏡。

光學設計師 Massimo Riccardi 正在檢測，他的作品包括 Astrophysics Riccard-Honders 攝星儀、為APM改良Thomas Back的設計，出品 APM-LZOS 510 f12.5 APO折射鏡，今年將於意大利中部組裝。

純粹個人觀點，業餘玩天文的拍深空，大概2000毫米焦距到頭了，我愛這台鏡的f3.8大光圈，用手上的FLI Proline 16803相機，可以獲得1X1度像場及每像素1"取樣度，適合拍大面積深空及巡天任務，換上8300相機則適合拍高解像度星系，取樣度達每像素0.58"，配合這台鏡在90mm直徑的像場邊緣仍只有5.4um大小的星點，把這口徑的應有威力發揮得淋漓盡致。

期待十一二月ISON彗星大放異彩時，我在西藏裝好這鏡的開光照。

我在2010年到意大利時，有一晚專程跟 Massimo Riccardi 見面，論及了各國不同頂級品牌的望遠鏡，請教了好些不為外人道的問題。

威吓这个半米大望远镜不得了呀,社长实在是太有钱了没法说的 ;D
目前一米大的只有国家级的天文台才有吧,私人的没见过有半米那么庞大的望远镜。高也是你最高了海拔4000多米，大也是你最大。
欧美AF论坛里有个英国的也才倆块26厘米的双筒，还造不到一块50厘米的镜片出来。
不过他是自己DIY自己造，你有追求的又有钱有门路的还是判给他人做好，而且还是外国人给你造，身价不同啦，这也未尝不是上策。

選這台鏡前，在Software Bisque的技術支援版上看到一段很重要的參考對話，那些頂級攝星人，標配都是50公分卡反配Paramount ME的。給我兩個啟示，一是Paramount ME承50公分卡反絶對沒問題，二是當我的硬件和環境都和人家的差不多，前期拍攝出來的RAW圖應該分別也不大(因為追蹤、對焦曝光等不成問題)，餘下來我真正要努力的是後期處理了。

Question :

20" RC Optical on a Paramount. Will it work with a reasonable amount of equipment? Basic CCD, etc.? Anything special I would have to do to make sure it will handle the weight?

Answer :

Yes, the Paramount ME will carry the 20-inch RCOS and associated equipment.

Since I've never personally mounted a RC 20-inch on a Paramount ME, I'm no an expert at what is required (other than lots of counterweights!).

Background:

The 20-inch RCOS with equipment exceeds the maximum capacity of the Paramount ME. Typically, the total payload is about 200 lbs.
Nonetheless, there are a number of (very prolific and well known) Paramount ME owners who use them. (And are quite happy with the performance, as I understand).
I'm not sure how many 20-inch RCOS/Paramount ME customers frequent this forum, so below are links to specific customers' web pages.
Bottom line: For the price, there is no better performing mount to carry the RCOS 20 inch telescope.

剛12月24日入藏，1月1日結束為期9天的西藏星空派對，共有8人參與。期間用站上的40公分杜普森反射看很多深空天體，最冷的時間達零下十七八度。

4300海拔及50公分口徑攝星鏡，能從香港以手機遙控拍攝，論硬件及觀測條件我滿足了，餘下來要花好些時間學習如何把這鏡用好。

那條哈達是2011年天文台開光時，友人從拉薩送過來的，已在大昭寺開光了。

在西藏阿里5100海拔，我參與台灣大學建的天文台，開光時孫教授也為望遠鏡送上哈達。

大家都希望一切順利，人員、器材都安全吧。

本來85公斤的望遠鏡是用不著數噸負載的吊車，但我們幾位男士試過真的不成，以約120萬台幣的望遠鏡來說，真的花數千元吊一下，買個安心還是划算的，最後證明決定正確。

1月1日已回到香港，稍後再去，有些優化工作仍要做。

一下子從105口徑650焦距，跳到500口徑1900焦距，還有很多東西要學。

這台鏡是攝影的，站上有一台Skywatcher Dob 16 GOTO作目視，即40公分反射。剛星空派對看了很多東西，包括馬頭星雲、網狀星雲等，60公分反射已進入議程。

補充一點資料，Officina Stellare 的RC或CRC系列，有Astro Sitall 鏡材選項的(膨漲系數最少低Pyrex 20倍 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sitall )，但RiLA或RH系列則沒有，包括我在西藏用的這台RiLA 500，或剛發給台灣大學的RH300。

We develop RiLA optical design tacking care of thermal matters. And we develop an optical design able to be "stable" versus temperature change also using "standard" glasses! This is one of the most interesting technical plus of RiLA: good thermal stability also with no special glasses for substrate.

We achieved this result matching the optical diplacement of focus position caused by thermal expansion of optical set glass with the mechanical displacement of OTA carbon/aluminum structure. Mechanics "follow" optics, and the focus position is stable on chip surface.

實際上我上週才發了一台給台灣大學天文系，

這鏡的鏡筒採用特別物料，加上鏡材是BK7，主鏡是用Mangin主鏡，反光面是在鏡背，即光線是經過主鏡本身兩次才反射出來的。BK7的膨脹系數不低但偏偏通過軟件模擬，鏡筒採用特別的物料組合，結果焦點非常穏定，視乎用途，在大概10攝氏度的變化下，不用重新調焦，所以RILA系列從開始設計時便考慮到這點。

過去數年我在望遠鏡選材方面也增進了些知識，例如我用的德國APM折射鏡，鏡筒採用KRUPPAX物料，論焦點穏定度及其他機械表現上，就比鋁筒好，也遠比碳筒好。
