作为“史密特观测系统”（Schmidt Observatory System）的一部分运行，该系统还包括三座地面观测设施：
Argus阵列、深层巡天阵列（Deep Synoptic Array，DSA）以及大型光纤阵列光谱望远镜（Large Fiber Array Spectroscopic Telescope，LFAST）。史密特科学基金会表示，这一整套观测体系以“开放科学”为核心理念，相关数据和软件原则上将默认向科研界广泛开放。
