LLCD(The Lunar Laser Communication Demonstration月球雷射通信驗證)

LLCD是美國實施的深空光通信項目，它試圖在繞月飛行器與地面接收終端之間建立雙向光通信鏈路，驗證在月地距離情況下通過輕小型星載終端進行高速雷射通信的可行性。該項目於2008年啟動，2013年10月升空，四個月後試驗結束。LLCD還證明了20Mbps的上行速率(用於回送往返月球的零誤差高清視頻，這使得今後人類探月任務極富吸引力)，還為宇宙飛船提供了同步厘米級高精度測距，這可用於改進行星天體的重力模型。
